Hello this is Renaud Regnery taking over this IG account for a week! Thought I would start with these book covers. This is what I was reading when I was a student at les Beaux-Arts de Paris. Ultra-violent literature: Hubert Selby, Burgess, Bret Easton Ellis but also Cendrars’ Moravagine, Apollinaire’s Onze Mille Verges and many other heirs of Sadian cruelty… These – not recommended – readings helped me to think of art as a place of all possibles, beyond morality. Maybe the only one? And a few examples of what I was doing at the time: Bébé tétine – 100 x 80 cm, Le Puni – 110 x 90 cm, Fatty Daddy Tyranny, 162 x 114 cm @regnerystudio
